Both of these times are more than respectable for cars in this class. Overall fuel economy ratings are exceptional with the manual Yaris achieving 30 city and 37 highway for a combined 33 mpg. Automatic Yaris models achieve an overall rating of 30 city and 36 highway for a combined rating of 32 mpg.

Life on the Inside

While having plenty of power is important, even in a subcompact, it is only second to how comfortable and well apportioned the interior is. Essentially the Yaris is available as either a two door or four door hatchback. You can order the L and LE trims in either version, but the SE is only available in a four dollar model. All models come surprisingly well equipped for such a small car. For example the L trim level comes with power locks and windows, height adjustable driver's seat, air conditioning, a tilt steering wheel, and a trip computer.

You also get BlueTooth phone and audio connectivity, a 6.1 inch touchscreen that controls a six-speaker audio system with CD player, HD radio, and a USB/iPod interface, and an auxiliary input jack. When you step up to the LE trim level, you get power side mirrors, cruise control, keyless entry, chrome interior door handles, and more. At the SE trim level you get LED running lights, projector headlamps, fog lamps, a leather trimmed shifter knob and steering wheel, and an upgraded cloth interior.
