2016 promises to be a great year for those interested in buying a new car with so many different models receiving a fresh new look. While still being the “perfect” family sedan, the new Camry looks to be more fun to drive and comes with a host of upgrades that are sure to make it one of the most popular cars on the road. Here we will take a look at what our buyers can expect from the 2016 Toyota Camry as soon as it hits our showroom floor.
On the Outside
While the overall look of the 2016 Camry may not seem that far removed from the 2015 model, it certainly appears to be more elegant and offers buyers an updated and more polished appearance. Many of the upgrades can be seen by simply standing in front of the new Camry. For example you will find it sports a set of self-leveling LED headlights as well as a pair of LED driving lights that match the slightly more aggressive nose design.
The new Camry is approximately two inches longer than last year’s model, one half-inch of this gain can be found between the axles. Along with new lights and added length is a bold new trapezoidal design front grille, which further adds to the aggressive new look.
On the Inside
There have been a few changes made to the inside starting with replacing that slightly clunky looking dashboard with one that offers buyers a much smoother and functional appearance. The 2016 Camry will feature a center stack loaded with the latest in high tech features. Along with this major change, buyers can look forward to a number of upgrades and changes to interior detailing and the use of upgraded materials. The center console will see a new bin located in front of the shifter that is the perfect place to store a number of your personal items. This bin will also feature an optional wireless charging pad and USB ports to match today’s driver’s need for connectivity and charging on the go.
Under the Hood
At the base level the 2016 Toyota Camry will still come equipped with the tried and true 2.5 liter inline four cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower. However this year the Camry will also be available with a powerful new 3.5 liter V6 engine. This power plant will produce a healthy 286 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of load hauling torque.
For those of you who are interested in keeping your costs at the pump to a minimum, there will also be a hybrid version available. This version will feature a 2.5 liter Atkinson inline four cylinder engine combined with Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy® system for maximum fuel efficiency. All versions of the 2016 Toyota Camry will feature a six speed automatic transmission as standard.
Safety First

The new Camry will now feature Lane Departure Alert that lets you know when you are wandering out of your lane, a Pre-Collision system that features automatic high beams, and finally a Blind Spot Monitoring system with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
