Not only does the Tundra sport a bigger and more powerful V8 engine hiding under the hood, but it also has more towing capacity than the Silverado. Equipped with a 5.7L V8, the Tundra can haul a massive 10,500 pounds comfortably.

At the same time the Tundra offers more torque than the Ford F150 equipped with a 5.0L V8. This means the Tundra has the ability to pull away from the F150 at stop lights, and more importantly offers better acceleration out on the open road when you need to drop into passing gear and move past slower traffic.

Along with more towing power than the Chevy, the Tundra adds one more feature that the F150 only offers as an option. The 2016 Toyota tundra comes equipped with a tow package and trailer hitch as standard equipment. The only way you can get these added to your Ford is to pay extra for them, which can be a relatively expensive addition.
